Atelier “Casal da Macieira”, Mendeira.

In the heart of the green Portugal, on 150 kilometres northeast of Lisbon lies Mendeira, a teeny-weeny picturesque village, close to the river the Zêzere. It belongs to the municipality Cernache do Bonjardim. From our house "Casal da Macieira" you have a great view over the valley and the woody surroundings.
Southern light, the intense colours, the restfulness and splendid nature of the surroundings forms a source of artistic inspiration. The setting consists of sheer blue sky, smelling dark green pine- and eucalyptus trees, limewashed villages and unordered rock masses. Wherever you look, there is always a topic that may be the basis for a beautiful self made drawing or painting composed by your self. Therefore a workshop in welcoming "Casal da Macieira" is a very good start or end of a longer stay in Portugal. All materials, daily lunch and soft drinks are included in the price of a workshop.
